1. How can I send email to
U2?
You probably can't. The band has never made public an email address
where fans can contact any one of the band members or anyone in
the management circles.
2. Where can I find
U2's official web site?
Here: U2.com
3. Where can I find U2 web
sites created by fans?
In short - everywhere. There are a few U2-only web directories
which are a great place to start, and you can always use general
directories and search engines such as Yahoo! and Google.
4. Are there any U2-related
mailing lists?
Yes, there are dozens if not hundreds of mailing lists for fans
to join. The oldest of these is known as "Wire." This list was
created in the early 1990s. In addition to Wire, there are several
newer lists U2 fans can
join. A good place to start your search is at any one of the
several online mailing list host services, such as Yahoo! Groups <groups.yahoo.com>.
5. Are there any U2-related
newsgroups?
There are two: <news:alt.fan.u2>
[founded originally for discussion of the Zoo TV tour]
and <news:alt.music.u2>.
6. What about commercial
online services?
America Online - International online service
The U2 folder on America Online, in the Music Messaging Center,
has been an active U2 forum since early 1992. Many of the same
people who frequent the U2 folder also subscribe to the various
U2 listservs and Usenet newsgroups. To get there:
keyword: MMC
click on: ALTERNATIVE
click on: ALTERNATIVE BANDS S to Z
scroll until you see the folder called U2 [RE]
